The ARCA
West Truck Series completed their first 2007 race on
Saturday, May 5th in company of the ARCA West Late Model
Challenge Series 'Apple Blossom 125' season opener. The
trucks drew alot of interest from LM drivers and spectators
alike, as this was the first of six scheduled races that the
trucks are scheduled to run in conjuction with the AW LMCS.
The ARCA West Trucks put on a feisty race, with brothers
Steve & Rick Thompson of the Tri-City area dueling for the
checkers. Rick got the win with Steve finishing second,
followed by rookie Daniel Moore of Snohomish, WA. 4th
Jerry Chester (Prosser WA), 5th Mike Clark (Graham, WA),
6th Scott Dannen (Dewy, AZ), 7th Duke Langley (Umatilla,
OR).
The next race for both the ARCA West LMCS & Trucks is at
Yakima Speedway on May 19th.
